Anesthesia and Surgery
Modern surgical and anesthetic facility & equipment
At Veterinary Clinic the Wetering we have the most advanced anesthetic equipment available for your pet. For all procedures we use a fitting anesthesia, this may be a general anesthesia or a local anesthesia, and it may also vary if your pet is a healthy young animal or if we are dealing with an elderly patient with underlying medical history.
Depending on the type of anesthesia we will use different medications. If your pets needs general anesthesia we will always give extra oxygen, depending on the length of the procedure we can add anesthetic gas (Isoflurane) to the oxygen. In all cases we monitor your pet carefully to ensure their safety and provide the most comfortable experience. There is always a veterinary technician who closely monitors the anesthesia during procedures, regardless if it is a routine or more advanced surgery.
