Sjoerd van der Wardt Veterinarian

My name is Sjoerd van der Wardt. Since 2002 I have been the owner of Veterinary Clinic De Wetering. Together with my wife Roos I have 2 daughters, Mara and Lynn. As pets we have a dog and 3 cats.

In recent years, practice has increasingly become the practice that I had in mind. With attention to people and animals, honestly, even with a difficult message, and based on the possibilities in every situation.

Birds, reptiles and rodents have my special interest; in my student days I have been in Artis for 4 months, among other things. In recent years I have, among other things, expanded my knowledge in that field through various in-service training courses at home and abroad. We therefore treat the most diverse animal species.

Twice a year I give lessons to employees of the Amsterdam Animal Ambulance. They follow the first aid course for animals where, together with veterinarian Maayke Ruiter, I explain everything for 8 weeks about first aid for different animals.
